Skin habits to break today!

Good Morning Lovlies! I hope you all had a great week 🙂

It’s been quite a while since I’ve done a skin care post, and with having issues with my skin for the past couple days, I thought I’d take today to enlighten you all on some habits that you may not realize, that are terrible for your skin!

Does anyone else notice that the guy who walks behind her just disappears? It’s driving me crazy!

Not taking off your make up before working out
I’m definitely the worst at this. I go to the gym right after work, and never bother to remove my make up first. But it’s terrible for you skin, especially if you have acne prone skin. The oils and sweat in your skin will build up and clog your pores. When you sweat, pores open and your make up is laying on top so it’s not a pretty story. Keep some make up remover wipes in your bag for when it’s gym time, you could always reapply after you’re done.

Picking at pimples or scars
I know that keeping your fingers off your face to stop picking at those mini volcanoes that have taken up residence on your face can be difficult, but you must control yourself. Picking at my face when I have a pimple, is usually the first thing I want to do, but I resist. Not only will it cause scarring and collect all the germs off of your fingers, but if you relieve the pressure of a pimple that isn’t ready to pop, it could pop below the surface of your skin, which will cause more breakouts in the long run. It’s always best to just keep your hands off your face.

Rubbing your eyes
The skin around your eyes is very sensitive, it’s the thinnest which makes it the first area to show signs of aging. Pulling at or rubbing your eyes will damage the collagen and elasticity fibers in the skin. You should always pat your eyes when applying or removing make up, and apply an eye cream using your ring finger. It’s the weakest finger so it will create the least amount of damage.

Over exfoliating
Have your ever heard “too much of good thing could be a bad thing”? (or something like that) This is probably the only instance I can think of that saying applies to. Exfoliating is great for your skin, in moderation. Exfoliating takes away all the dead skin cells, which could make your skin dry and flakey making it nearly impossible to put on make up. It also makes your skin very sensitive and susceptible to sun damage.

Forgetting your neck and chest
Have you ever seen someone who’s face looks much younger then their body because their neck is wrinkled? This is most likely due to the fact that when applying their skin care products, they only put them on their face, and never the neck or chest. I always suggest using whatever products you’re apply on your face to apply to your neck and chest also. The skin there is also sensitive and needs care.

What are your skincare habits? I love reading comments from you guys, so let me know 🙂

Thank you all so much reading, I love you all

I’m so bad about a lot of these. I really need to work on remembering to put lotion/cream whatever on my neck and chest— cause big boobs and wrinkles. I’M TOO YOUNG FOR THIS. Okay.. I’m done. Haha. Thanks for the article! And the Bob’s Burger’s gif.
