Michael Todd Skincare review

Sometime last year, I randomly bought a Michael Todd product from Ulta, and I absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, I’ve only been able to  try a few products since then, and I’ve been stalking the soniclear skincare brush. In the same day, I got my tax refund, and saw the 20% coupon… if that’s not a sign to buy it, I honestly don’t know what is.

So I accepted that act of fate and purchased some things from Michaeltoddbeauy.com I obviously bought the Soniclear brush, as well as the charcoal detox cleanser and retinol face serum. I’ve been trying them all for a little over two weeks now, and here are my thoughts.

First I’ll start with the Charcoal detox cleanser.

You may have heard me mention this product before, as I’ve definitely tried it before and loved it!
Last time my bottle literally just fell apart, so I didn’t get to use a lot of it (customer service offered to send me a new bottle) So I repurchased it now, and I’m in love still. My face feels so clean when I use this as a cleanser. I use it at night only. It removes everything off of my face, without drying me out or being too harsh. I absolutely love this cleanser, and would recommend it to anyone with normal to oily skin.

I was looking for a new serum, and I saw that someone left a review on this one that said it had cleared up the blemishes she’s had around her chin. That girl’s review was the sole reason I decided to add this to my cart. I’ve been struggling with my skin, and have had way too many blemishes around my chin area, and I need it to stop.
So I purchased this, and while I didn’t notice any difference on the blemishes, it does make my skin look so much healthier! I have a healthy glow going on, even with some of the chin acne. Not only is this serum amazing, it’s also really affordable, priced at about half of what so many high end serums are priced at.

Now we can talk about the star of the show, the soniclear petite

I love this thing!! I’m using it about once every three days since it is a form of exfoliation, but it isn’t harsh at all!
I put a little bit of the cleanser on my brush, and then on my face and move it in circular motions on my face.
The brush itself doesn’t spin, so it doesn’t tug on your face so no extra friction is added. I love this brush, I’d definitely reccomend it over most of the skincare brushes out there, including the clarisonic.

To be quite honest, I don’t know why I haven’t heard more about this brand… They’re affordable, and the quality is definitely there.
Also, I feel it’s worth mentioning that their customer service is on point. As I mentioned when my bottle fell apart, they offered to send me anther one, and I reached out to ask questions about the brush, and they were there to answer all of the questions I needed answered.

Bottom line: Michael Todd beauty is a vastly underrated brand. I will continue to love and support them!

Let me know your thoughts, if you’ve ever tried or wanted to try these products!

I used the clay cleanser before and loved it. I need to look at other products in the line.

Oh that sounds so interesting. I’m glad products can come and compete with the Clarisonic, since it’s way too expensive.
