Moisturize all skin types

It’s obvious that people with dry skin need to apply a moisturizer at least once a day, but I’ve heard way too many people say that they don’t moisturize because their skin is already oily. I know that putting a moisturizer on already oily skin sounds like a contradiction, but by not adding healthy moisture to your skin, your body feels the need to over compensate and drive up the level of sebum production, (I know, the world is cruel!)

If you have oily/ acne prone skin, go with a light moisturizer, or even a light beauty oil. I’d suggest using an oil at night only, and a moisturizer for the morning.
Look for products with dimethicone and hyaluronic acid.

There are also quite a few products in the drug store for oil prone skin. Cetaphil makes an oil control moisturizer that I’ve heard people rave about. I have tried it myself, and I love the formula, however, I do not have oily skin so I can not attest for it’s effectiveness.

If your skin is so oily you have to blot your face with blotting papers several times a day, try a light serum or gel with pure hyaluronic  acid. It will lock in the moisture, without locking in any greasyness. Boscia makes a great moisturizer with activated charcoal to remove all the impurities from your skin.

As we all know, people with dry and normal skin always need to moisturize too. Even in those summer months!

Thank you all for reading! Remember to wash your face, and use your moisturizer!

Yes, absolutely! Oily and combo skin also get dehydrated and so they need moisturising, too. I have combo skin and moisturise with heavier creams on my night routine.
