Products that are worth the splurge

Although youtube tutorials, and blogs are extremely helpful in the process of learning makeup application, it can also be really tricky to know what products to try. Maybe it’s just my trust issues talking, but how do you know when someone is being sincere in what they’re preaching?

I’ve tried so, so many products! It’s a little out of control I won’t even lie, but this works out for you! Instead of you going out to spend your hard earned money on new products to try, my honest little blog and my hard earned money have tried them for you!

Although, I do understand if you lump me in with the other beauty bloggers, and choose not to trust me either, I can say that I am now and always will be completely honest. I’m not sponsored in anyway. So I got your back!

Since everyone’s skin is different, nobody is going to LOVE all the products that I list, but for my normal, neutral skin.. I love them all.

Laura Mercier Radiance primer, $36 on amazon

I bought this product on a random whim, I really never planned to buy it and it took months to try it even after I bought it. But I count my lucky stars that I bought it, because I absolutely LOVE it! It give such a beautiful radiance. You can apply it underneath your foundation or mix it in with your foundation and It looks absolutely amazing both ways!

If your skin is oily or combination, you probably won’t like it. If you’re skin is normal or dry and you like to look like your a tad oily, go for this! You won’t regret it.

Clinique Beyond perfecting foundation + concealer, $47.50 on amazon

I know this is ALL over the place lately, but it really is amazing. I was extremely skeptical of how well this stuff actually worked, until I saw Victoria Donelda use it on camera, and I knew I had to try it. If you have marks on your face, you’re going to love this. It really does cover everything, and it definitely… beyond perfecting! (the name holds true to the product)

Besamè Cosmetics Lipstick, $40 on amazon

I absolutely love this lipstick, I honestly don’t know why I haven’t heard much about it from other beauty bloggers or youtubers. I fell in love last year when I bought one for my sister, since then I knew they were awesome. The color is fantastic! My favorite is American beauty, they’re SUCH beautiful colors, but I’m a sucker for good packaging and the gold vintage speaks to me. If you haven’t tried this out yet, you should definitely get your hands on one.

Urban Decay All nighter Setting spray, $30 at Sephora

I don’t think there’s been a day, in years, that I didn’t set my face with setting spray. I’ve used several different ones, most high end sprays, seem just the same as drugstore spray to me, to be honest. I don’t normally see a difference, other then the high price tag. However, Urban Decay’s all nighter spray, is amazing. My makeup does not move at ALL the entire time I’m wearing it. If you’re going to splurge on a setting spray, definitely make sure to give this one a try. It’s a little bit pricy, but the bottle lasts foreverrrr. Definitely worth it!
(I linked the amazon link instead of sephora because Amazon is international, and I’m not sure who can get it from sephora. But amazon is much more expensive.)

Lorac Pro Palettes, $42 on

I’m in love with the pro 2 palette, I keep coming back to it over and over. The colors and quality are just absolutely perfect. I haven’t yet owned a mega pro, but it’s on my bucket list! I’m obsessed with these palettes, I always fall back to the Lorac shadows!

There are definitely some products that I would definitely prefer to invest in, but there are also so many products that just aren’t worth all that hard earned money!

Let me know what your splurge products are!!

I love you all and thank you so much for reading

Yes! Their stuff is at sephora I believe. I don’t know why it’s not more popular!

      • hippylip February 28, 2016 at 2:42 pm

I’ve never noticed it at Sephora. Headed there today and I will check it out! Thanks

        • beauty90 February 28, 2016 at 9:24 pm

I hope it was actually there!! I’ve seen some of the powders on but now I’m worried I’m giving false information. Sorry If they didn’t have it!

          • hippylip March 3, 2016 at 10:30 am

Lol no worries. I didn’t see it at my local Sephora but it could be just the location.

          • beauty90 March 5, 2016 at 6:47 am

I think I saw it online, at least the powders. My local sephora is like 1.5 hours away so I don’t get in there much to check.
