Skin care that’s great for the skin, and the wallet.

For those of you with super sensitive skin, I know you can relate to me! Trying out different soaps and waiting it out to see if you have an allergic reaction has become a part of life.

A few months ago, I attended a Soap party for my friend. Her brother and sister in law had been creating organic soap, and wanted her friends and family to try it out! Being the impulse shopper that I am, I bought a serum, a body oil, and a bar of soap. I later went back and bought a couple masks.

Having a few months to really try them out, and get a strong opinion on them, I want to finally post an honest review for you all. I really think this brand could be beneficial for your skin, WITHOUT emptying your wallet!

I will only be talking about a few products today to avoid making it too long, but check out their etsy page for more! All the ingredients are listed on their etsy website.  I want to start with my favorite product.

The serum/ beauty oil.

Skin benefits: This beauty Oil contains primrose, which is amazing for anti aging, so I was more then excited to see that on the ingredients list (and most of the reason that I bought it). Also, the argan oils protect your skin from free radicals. This oil is also potent with antioxidants, along with the moisture it will provide on your face, it will definitely slow down the aging process while providing your skin with so many nutrients.
How to use it: You can use this in the morning or evening. Always use on clean skin. Using it before your anti aging routine (which should be at night) will make the molecules in the oil trick your skin into letting the active ingredients of your anti aging products deeper into your skin, closer to the collagen producing fibroblasts, Which will increase the productivity and not irritate the skin at all. For those of us who concentrate on anti aging, I know you’ll appreciate this.
What I think: I’ve been using this facial oil since December and still have about a quarter of the bottle left. I think it’s great for moisturizing the skin, and getting the full effect of my skin routine. Great product for those of you who are more oily as well!
Price:  $28.00. Which I think we can all appreciate because most are at least $50.00!

Body Oil

Skin benefits: It’s got most of the same ingredients as the facial Serum, but also has vitamin E

and avocado oil. For all of you skin care addicts like me, I’m sure I don’t have to tell you how great that is for the skin. I’ll really quick explain a little for those who aren’t familiar. -Vitamin E protects your body, it neutralizes damaging free radicals and retains the body’s natural oils. -Avocado Oil keeps the skin moisturized and increases your collagen production.
How to Use it: I cover my body in it fresh out of the shower. Let it lock in all the moisture into my skin.
If you’ve got thick hair, you could double this as a hair oil treatment. Heat it slightly (make sure it’s cooled a little before applying it) and run it through your hair. That way your hair will also get all the benefits.
What I think: Obviously, I love this stuff as well. I’m not particularly dry or oily, but this definitely helps to keep my skin feeling healthy.
Price: $12.00

maskWho isn’t always looking for an amazing facial mask? Let’s be real we all love a good one. These are definitely worth trying! There is Kaolin & White Pumice,  French green clay mask, Rhassoul clay mask, and Charcoal and Kaolin.
To avoid making this post the length of a novel, I’m only going to talk about one, if you’d like to know more, leave me some comments and I’ll Tell you the skin benefits of all of them!
Charcoal & Kaolin is my favorite!
Skin benefits: Activated Charcoal can absorb over 100 times it’s weight in impurities helping to really deep clean your face, and fight acne. Kaolin contains silica, which helps to remove dead skin cells and helps the skin regenerate, purifying and detoxing the skin. Kaolin also has unique minerals and phyto-nutrients to help eliminate toxins from your skin.
how to use: Mix with a small amount of water, and apply it to your face 2-3 times a week. Wash it off after about 10 minutes, or when it starts to get really dry. You could make it in a jar to have it ready whenver you need it, or make enough for one use at a time. It can also be used for spot treatments.
What I think: This is undoubtedly my favorite mask. I’ve tried other brands and had reactions to them. This one is so natural and gentle on your skin I had no irritation at all! sidenote* I mix this with aloe, I really think the aloe makes a huge difference!
Price: $10.00 (glamglow is $69.00, just saying)

typically, I’m not a fan of bars of soap. I usually find them very drying on my skin. I tried these anyway, (because they’re 4 for $20 and I’m weak, so I obviously got 4).

Skin Benefits: There are too many different soaps to get into the skin benefits of every one, but like I saidsoap before, leave a comment if you want to know more about the skin benefits of one (or all) and I’d be happy to help with that! They have Himalayan salt, coffee scrub, dead sea salt, Carrot and honey, green tea, rose clay, citrus, activated bamboo charcoal, oatmeal and lavender, coffee bar, peppermint, patchouli and orange, and aloe and shea. All of them have amazing benefits!  I gave the charcoal bar to a friend who was struggling with acne on his back. It definitely helped to clear his skin up!
How to use: You use it like soap, hopefully, no explanation needed!
What I think: There’s a soap, that smells like coffee.. Of course I love it. Feeding my coffee addiction in the shower is a major bonus. But on a real note, it isn’t drying or irritating at all! I like it a lot.
Price: $5.50 or 4 for $20

I 100% believe in investing in your skin care items, I think they’re definitely something worth paying for. But if you can get great quality options for a fraction of the price, then why not?!
I would never false advertise or push something I didn’t believe in, but I really love these products!

Try them out and let me know what you think!
Check them out on facebook and etsy!
