Seasonally transition your skin

Hey Everyone!

Spring is coming!! I honestly can not think of a single person who is more excited for this season changing then myself. I truly hate being cold, so my favorite time of year is when I finally get to get outside and not freeze to death or catch hypothermia.

With the weather changing, it’s also important to change your skin care to adapt to the new temperatures and climates.

Cleansers

Cleansers don’t necessarily need to change. You do need something that is gentle, but effective in taking off the make up and dirt off your face while leaving your face feeing fresh. Foaming cleansers tend to make my skin feel try and tight, so I like to go with a gel formula. I’m Currently loving Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel, it’s so gentle but very effective.

Exfoliating

Make sure you’re exfoliating, your dead skin cells from winter need to be removed for spring, you should continue to exfoliate throughout the year, but should definitely not be skipping that step when trying to transition into seasons. Your skin is much dryer in the colder months, I already know you don’t want to carry that with you to the new season.

Nurturing

Serums are amazing. They really get deep into your skin and repair any damage you may have and not even know about. They’ll enhance your moisturizer also, they really are amazing. You may have to do some research or trial and error to find one that works for your skin type along with the climate you live in, but it’ll be worth it. If you really don’t know what to get, try an oil mixture like Fresh Soap’s Serum (an organic brand of skincare)

Moisturizing

For a moisturizer, you need something light weight, but super effective. You need the moisture for your winter skin, but you don’t want it to weigh you down when the weather finally decides to warm up. Something that contains sodium hyaluronate is your best bet. Mario Badescu makes this great one.  If you’re only going to do one thing to your face after you wash it, please let it be moisturizing. It’s so imperative to keep your skin hydrated all year long!

I hope the weather is as nice where you are as it is here in Virginia Beach. This early spring makes me so happy so I hope you’re experiencing the same!

Thank you for reading, love you all!
